Steve graduated from Concordia University Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Lutheran secondary education. For 12 years he taught English, speech and drama in Lutheran high schools before joining Concordia Plans in 1995 as a staff writer. In 2006, Steve completed the requirements to become a Certified Wellness Program Manager, and he helped introduce and guide the “Be Well, Serve Well” initiative. Steve currently leads our team of wellness educators who encourage LCMS church workers to care for their physical, emotional and financial health. He is passionate about helping members be well so they can worry less about their health and focus on their families and ministries.
