The Medicare Diabetes Prevention Program (MDPP) is a Medicare-covered preventive program designed to help eligible beneficiaries prevent or delay type 2 diabetes through lifestyle changes focused on nutrition, physical activity and weight management. The program is based on the CDC’s evidence-based National Diabetes Prevention Program and there is typically no cost to the beneficiary.
