Personal spending account vendor transition

You’ve recently received numerous email communications from Concordia Plans and our personal spending account vendor partners, HealthEquity and Further, regarding HealthEquity's acquisition of Further. We’d like to help clarify what’s changing and the actions your ministry should take.

HealthEquity’s acquisition of Further is expected to close Nov. 1, with an effective date of Jan. 1, 2022. Regardless of acquisition timing, CPS has chosen to migrate our preferred vendor partnership to HealthEquity now, in preparation for the upcoming member Open Enrollment and 2022 benefit plan year. Transitioning to HealthEquity alongside us means that you can enjoy CPS' negotiated, reduced fees and transition assistance.

To complete this transition, please take the following steps by the dates indicated below. These steps are necessary to ensure your ministry’s PSAs are set up with HealthEquity for 2022.
  • Step #1:
Who? All current Further account holders who want to transition to HealthEquity.
    What?
    • Sign and return the digital Authorization Agreement to HealthEquity by Oct. 1.
    • Review the agreement and verify that it includes all of the personal spending accounts you will be offering in 2022 prior to returning. If it does not contact ConcordiaAgreements@HealthEquity.com.
    • This agreement should have been emailed from echosign@echosign.com through an Adobe Sign platform. If you haven't received this or have questions, please contact ConcordiaAgreements@HealthEquity.com providing the name of your ministry, tax ID number and Concordia ID Number.
  • Step #2:
Who? All current Further account holders who offer accounts other than a health savings account and want to transition to HealthEquity. NOTE: If you only offer health savings accounts, you may skip to Step 3.
    What?
    • Complete and return the Reimbursement Account Application provided by HealthEquity to ConcordiaApplications@healthequity.com prior to your meeting with a HealthEquity implementation manager, which should be scheduled by Oct. 1.
    • You'll receive a welcome email from a HealthEquity implementation manager 2-3 business days after you submit the Authorization Agreement. This email will ask you to schedule a call to review and complete your Reimbursement Account Application.
    • If you haven't received your welcome email following the completion of your Authorization Agreement, please contact ConcordiaApplications@healthequity.com providing the name of your ministry, tax ID number and Concordia ID Number.
