There are six challenges that can be used through the month of October for the 500 Challenge. You pick and choose which challenges to use, or do them all with your staff!
Here are the challenges available:
|February:||500 minutes of spiritual growth (prayer, Bible study, chapel).|
|March:||Biometric Screening for 500 points (Know your Numbers – schedule a Vitality check).|
|May:||Bike 500 miles (including stationary) or exercise for 500 minutes (16 minutes daily).|
|July:||Drink 500 ounces of water (2 cups per day).|
|September:||Complete 500 sit-ups, push-ups, squats or 500 minutes of yoga (16 per day, or 16 minutes per day).|
|October:||Climb 500 stairs during any one-week period (71 steps per day on any week).|
Here’s how the challenges work:
- Inform your staff about the challenges using the 500 Challenge Information. 12515 – 500 Challenge Program Information
- Provide each participant with a scroll for that month’s challenge. 12515b – 500 Challenge Scroll Template
- Provide a door or bulletin board where the scroll can be nailed (or use thumb tacks)
For added incentive, offer a prize drawing for participants: the more challenges they complete, the more entries they have to win.
