Early Enrollment: Assigned Workers

If a worker is a college or seminary graduate assigned by the Synod’s Board of Assignments for employment with your organization, the worker will normally be enrolled, as are other workers, on the first day of the month after reporting for work. However, the plan provisions allow the employer to request that an assigned worker be enrolled prior to actually beginning employment. The earlier date of enrollment for assigned workers, if requested by the employer, will be the first day of any month following the date on which the worker was assigned. But, the enrollment cannot be effective later than the first day of the month after reporting for work at the employer.
