New Adoption—Eligibility Criteria

• Organization is a “Member Congregation” of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (an individual congregation which has applied for and been received into membership in the Synod pursuant to the Bylaws of the Synod),
  OR
  Organization is a "Controlled Organization" of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (an organization, agency or subdivision of the Synod, which is under the control and supervision of the Synod) as determined and defined by the Board of Directors of the Synod.

• Organization is a “Recognized Service Organization” of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (as described in and subject to the conditions set forth in the Synod’s Bylaws).

• Organization operates as an elementary or secondary school in accordance with the doctrines of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.
  OR
  Organization is promoting and/or providing as a cooperative effort of member congregations of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, mission or camp associations, etc., which are within the function and concern of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod,
  OR
  Organization is providing care and services of a social ministry nature, and the organization is of the kind for which the Board for Human Care Ministries of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod serves as the coordinating, counseling, and information bureau,
  AND
  If the Constitution or Bylaws stipulate that a majority of the voting rights in such organization must be held by member congregations of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod or their representatives (not simply by individuals who are members of a Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod congregation), such organization shall be deemed to be an “Affiliated Agency” of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.
