Retiree Healthcare News

We know LCMS retirees are spending more and more on healthcare expenses, and we want to do what we can to assist those who faithfully served the Church throughout their career.

Beginning in 2006, current retirees will be eligible to receive a Retiree Medical Supplement (RMS) monthly annuity payment—in addition to their existing pension benefits—to help with healthcare expenses. To be eligible for the supplemental benefit, a retiree must have retired after age 59 with at least 14 years of credited service.

Wait and watch for more information—eligible retirees will be notified of their RMS benefit later this year.
