All
computers are not created equal. Because there is not 100%
uniformity among computers, there is the possibility that
you could run into a small technical issue while trying to
view this
presentation. Here are a few things you might come across
and some solutions.
- Internet
connection speed.
If you have a dial-up connection, it is recommended that
you view the PowerPoint presentation
instead of the video due to the size of the video and time
required to download.
- A
Macromedia's Flash plugin must be installed to view this
presentation.
Most PC's already have this free plugin installed. The quickest
test to see if it is installed is to launch the presentation
from your browser. If after 30 seconds or more, the presentation
does not run or you have a blank window, you will need to
download the plugin. To automatically download the Flash
plugin, go to www.macromedia.com/downloads.
Select Macromedia Flash Player
under Download Free Players. You will be directed to an
installation page. Here, select the button that says Download.
The rest is automatic. (If you do not want to include the
Yahoo toolbar, uncheck the box before clicking on the download
button.)
-
Pop-up blockers. After
you click on the first image, a new window will open and
the video will start after about 15 seconds. If a new window
does not open, you may have a pop-up blocker installed.
You will need to temporarily disable this blocker.
-
You want to print the PowerPoint slides.
Once your browser launches, you will see the word “attachment”
in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Click on the
attachment and the presentation will be launched into PowerPoint
on your computer. Then you can save the document and print
it – either just the slides or the “notes page”
view, just as you would any presentation in PowerPoint.
